What is a Church Planter?

Christian community is at the centre of God's plan for evangelism and discipleship in all nations! Vibrant congregations desire to see additional churches established in their communities and nations, but many lack the training and resources to plant churches.

Bible League International is committed to providing churches and partners with what they need to plant new churches at no cost.
Bible League endeavours to:
  • Provides resources and where requested, high level or “train the trainer” instruction on how to plant God’s Word in the hearts of others, to help churches to expand their outreach resulting in church growth and new churches planted.
  • Materials include Project Philip studies, church planting training manuals, and Bibles and Scripture portions.
  • Church Planting Institute is a program available for use by local churches and partners. This is an extensive training program that includes evangelism, discipleship, membership, leadership and worship.
  • Training involves conducting workshops for qualified church planting candidates sent by local churches and denominations.
  • The way these resources and training opportunities are utilized varies around the world. In some places Bible League staff conduct training directly, increasingly in other places Bible League provides the resources for the training, carried out by partners or churches.

Your partnership provides these churches with church planting resources and the Word of God to make this happen. You participate with them as they establish Bible-believing, Bible-based churches! Each of these new churches provides a community where new believers can grow in faith. It’s where they begin to share that faith with others and it’s where the need for God’s Word continues to grow.
Lord, teach me your ways, and I will live and obey your truths. Help me make worshiping your name the most important thing in my life.  Psalm 86:11 (ERV)
