What is a Church Planter?

Christian community is at the centre of God's plan for evangelism and discipleship in all nations! Vibrant congregations desire to see additional churches established in their communities and nations, but many lack the training and resources to plant churches.

Bible League International is committed to providing churches and partners with what they need to plant new churches at no cost.
Bible League endeavours to:
  • Provides resources and where requested, high level or “train the trainer” instruction on how to plant God’s Word in the hearts of others, to help churches to expand their outreach resulting in church growth and new churches planted.
  • Materials include Project Philip studies, church planting training manuals, and Bibles and Scripture portions.
  • Church Planting Institute is a program available for use by local churches and partners. This is an extensive training program that includes evangelism, discipleship, membership, leadership and worship.
  • Training involves conducting workshops for qualified church planting candidates sent by local churches and denominations.
  • The way these resources and training opportunities are utilized varies around the world. In some places Bible League staff conduct training directly, increasingly in other places Bible League provides the resources for the training, carried out by partners or churches.

Your partnership provides these churches with church planting resources and the Word of God to make this happen. You participate with them as they establish Bible-believing, Bible-based churches! Each of these new churches provides a community where new believers can grow in faith. It’s where they begin to share that faith with others and it’s where the need for God’s Word continues to grow.
Lord, teach me your ways, and I will live and obey your truths. Help me make worshiping your name the most important thing in my life.  Psalm 86:11 (ERV)

Struggle4Bibles Impressions

On Saturday, Bible League's Struggle4Bibles event was held at Wedderburn Christian Campsite, Sydney.  The day saw many enthusiastic 'strugglers', of all ages, shapes and sizes, who completed the 5 or 7km track - some even did 20kms carrying either a 6kg or 10kg backpack representing Bibles that a Church Planter would carry into remote regions.

The event was enjoyed by many and the experience has made a lasting impression on those who carried weighted backpacks experiencing what it would be like to be a Church Planter carrying Bibles into remote areas of Africa.

David wrote regarding his experience at Struggle4Bibles: "Thank you for challenging us to help build up our fellow BaSiCs (brothers and sisters in Christ) in Africa! There's a Bible chapter that talks about us all being one body of Christ - and we must do our part to make it function properly…. I saw this in effect yesterday and it strongly encourages me to see so many people (less mobile, young children) working together out of love."

“Then the king will answer, ‘The truth is, anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me.’ Matthew 25:40 (ERV)

Thank you to all those who participated - you are amazing!  Also we would like to thank all those who sponsored participants - your generosity will have an eternal impact on those who will receive the gift of a Bible.

Bible League International Australia aims to hold the event again next year to let more people experience what it is like to take Bibles into remote regions and experience what some of our brothers and sisters around the world do to get God's precious Word to His people.

The Golden Book comes to Torodi

From a Christian worker in Niger:

"First of all, we thank the Lord Jesus for his faithfulness throughout our outreach in Torodi during which we showed the film “Jesus Film”.
We were blessed with Bibles from Bible League International which we distributed to those who were in need of them and were able to read. The first day a total of 142 Bibles were distributed. The following day, as we were witnessing from door to door we met with some of the beneficiaries of the Bibles who told us about their joy of possessing their own copies of the Bible.
One of them called Salha testified that after reading a large part of Genesis he realized that the Bible is more detailed than the Koran on the life of Adam. He also realized that indeed the Bible is a Holy Book and that it is much older than the Koran.
During the remaining of our stay in Torodi, we distributed Bibles into a great number of Muslims. One of them named Akilou testified that a year ago, in a dream he saw thousands of people lining up and  holding in their hands a golden book with this inscription “the book of Jesus’’. An angel was inviting him to take this book. And there he was, on that second day of our outreach among the people who readily received their copies of the Bible.  To him his dream had become a reality and he knows the Lord has something planned for him. He was very excited."

Bible League International is honoured to be used by God to bring his precious Word to people like Salha and Akilou.  We can only do this when God's people co-labour with us and support Bible League's ministry.

My Name is Written In Heaven

Our own deeds, and anything that happens to us, can also be burdens. The Lord uses our guilty

conscience to speak to us, drawing us to Him through the Spirit. Nguyen felt driven one day to seek out a friend to confide in, little knowing the pain he was feeling for his transgressions could be relieved only by the Lord.
“I did many bad things, and I lived in fear,” Nguyen says. “I went to see my friend, I felt so bad. He was just coming back from the Saigon market, and he put his bicycle up against the wall outside his apartment. He invited me inside to talk.”
After listening to him unburden his heart, Nguyen’s friend opened the Bible and began to share the Gospel. That life-changing conversation brought Nguyen to Jesus Christ—and he found spiritual rest. Despite the noise of the bustling traffic outside, and the heat of an impending monsoon, nothing could distract or interrupt their prayers.
“I asked my friend how he could help me solve all the bad things I have done,” Nguyen remembers. “He sat with me. He told me about God’s great love for this world, and that His Son’s blood made atonement for believers. The Holy Spirit worked in my life, and now I attend church. I am preparing for my baptism, and am studying the Bible. My name is written in heaven!”

Praise God that Bible League International Scriptures you helped to provide brought a young man to the cross, where he found forgiveness and a new start on his life’s journey.
You have come to the meeting of God’s firstborn children. Their names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all people. And you have come to the spirits of good people who have been made perfect. Hebrews 12:13 (ERV)
